Professor Emeritus Robert Bogner PhD

The visionary behind Retirement Village Advisor, Professor Bogner is a retired Professor of Electrical Engineering who has lived in a retirement village for 17 years. His firsthand experience of how difficult it can be to find the right fit inspired him to co-found RVA — ensuring no South Australian family has to navigate this journey alone, supported by our zero commissions guarantee.

Outside of RVA, Robert is a passionate blacksmith, a craft sparked by his partner Rae gifting him a forge one Christmas.

Irusia Armattoe

A licensed real estate agent originally from Switzerland and fluent in four languages, Irusia co-founded Retirement Village Advisor driven by her passion for helping people move forward with confidence at life's most important crossroads.

With a motto of "I work harder", she brings exceptional people skills and negotiating ability to every family she works with.

When not helping clients, Irusia enjoys walking her dog Perro, cooking fine food, and sharing a glass of wine with friends.

Douglas Purcell

With decades of experience as a building inspector and Body Corporate manager, Douglas Purcell brings unmatched practical expertise to the RVA team. Through meticulous village inspections and reports, he assesses the safety, condition, and long-term suitability of retirement villages with a sharp, informed eye — so families don't have to guess.

As a part-time carer for an ageing parent himself, Doug understands firsthand the challenges families face, making his commitment to this work both professional and deeply personal.
